Youth

scrubbybdayparty_400The American Red Cross of the Quad Cities Area works hard to provide today’s youth with the knowledge and skills to lead safe an healthy lives. With this goal in mind, Red Cross youth services offers a variety of programs, projects, and courses for youth in grades K-12.

Why Volunteer with the Red Cross?

  • Makes you feel good
  • Help your community
  • Build life skills
  • Helps build a resume
  • Learn job skills
  • Make new friends in your community
  • Looks good on a scholarship form

There is not a set minimum age to become a youth volunteer, however, most of our youth volunteers begin around the age of 10 or in third grade.

If you are interesting in becoming a volunteer, you will need to fill out an application, which you can obtain by contacting Kim Crosby at (309) 743-2168 or you can download the appliation by clicking here.  Once this application is signed by your parent, you will then meet with Kim to talk about volunteer opportunities.

If you need service hours for school, confirmation or merit badges, the Red Cross can schedule according to the hours required.
