Corporate and Foundation Partnerships

Local chapter programs rely on financial support and voluntary service from generous citizens. As a valued community member, the American Red Cross of the Quad Cities Area invites your organization to be a part of our important lifesaving work by investing in a partnership.

Make a Financial Donation
Raising sustainable contributed revenue is instrumental to the life-saving efforts of the American Red Cross of the Quad Cities Area. The Red Cross is not a government agency; our programs rely entirely on voluntary services and financial support from the community. We offer most of our services free of charge to anyone and everyone.

Sponsor a Program
Partner with the Red Cross by sponsoring a specific program of the chapter. Red Cross programs teach vital educational training including lifesaving CPR, First Aid skills and training programs. Your organization can be prominently “named” as a sponsor for such programs as the Kids K.A.M.P., Diversity Outreach, Babysitter’s Training, and AmeriCorps.

Sponsor an Event
Red Cross sponsorship packages include marketing opportunities. Proceeds from fundraising events support vital lifesaving programs and services including disaster relief and health and safety education.

Raise Money for the American Red Cross
Host an event and include a fundraising component to help raise awareness and funding for the American Red Cross of the Quad Cities Area. Examples include: dress casual at work for a day, mini-golf tournaments, car washes, ice cream sundae sales, bake sales and much more. Guidelines on hosting fundraisers can be found here.

Match Your Employees’ Gifts
Promote and match employee giving to the Red Cross. A company match is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate corporate citizenship and support an organization of importance to your employees.

Train Your Employees
American Red Cross workplace training is the complete emergency preparedness solution for your employees and for your bottom line. Are your employees prepared to respond to an injured coworker should a medical emergency occur? Each year over 6,000 people die from workplace injuries according to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and nearly 12 injuries occur every minute. This costs businesses over $125 billion annually. The Red Cross can help minimize the effects of emergencies in the workplace and reduce costs for employers in the long-term.

Offer Volunteer Support
Red Cross volunteers are people who wake up in the middle of a cold winter night to help a family forced from their home by a fire, teach people how to be safe and save lives, staff blood drives to assist in the process of collecting lifesaving blood donations, and keep the Red Cross operating every day. Employees have several skills that can be put to action for the Red Cross including writing, photography and database skills.

Donate Products & Services
The Red Cross is unable to accept small, individual donations or collections of items such as clothing, food or cleaning supplies. The cost to sort, package and distribute these types of donations to disaster victims is almost always greater than the cost of purchasing the items locally, and it is logistically impossible to distribute a wide variety of individual items in a meaningful way.

However, corporate donations of bulk items may be needed to prepare and respond to emergencies. Offers of sizeable, bulk donations are reviewed to determine if they meet a current need. Bulk donations are typically new, shrink-wrapped and palletized items, and they are transported by the donor.
