About

The Numbers Count!

24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the American Red Cross of the Quad Cities is serving its community.

The Quad Cities team includes over 20 employees and 900 adult and youth volunteers. Together, they donate over 50,000 hours of community service each year.

With the help of 4 supporting branches spread throughout their service area, the Quad Cities branch serves 8 different counties in 2 states: Scott, Muscatine, and Louisa counties in Iowa and Rock Island, Henry, Mercer, Bureau, and Whiteside counties in Illinois.

The Quad Cities chapter also helps oversee the activities of 6 Red Cross Chapter Offices: the Gateway Area, Des Moines County, Northwest Illinois, Rockford, Tri-States and Western Illinois Chapters.

Every day at the American Red Cross of the Quad Cities we:

-Work to reunite 1 family using our Armed Forces Emergency Services and International Social Services programs.

-Collect 10 units of blood— enough to save the lives of 30 people.

-Equip 57 people with lifesaving information on CPR, first aid, and water safety.

-Each month, we offer over 12 safety and CPR certification courses.
